I'm participating for the first time in "Teaser Tuesdays," a bookish meme hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
• Grab your current read
• Open to a random page
• Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
• BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (Make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
• Share the title & author too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

My Current Read:
By Julie Cross
"The year is 2009.
Nineteen-year-old Jackson Meyer is a normal guy… he’s in college, has a
girlfriend… and he can travel back through time. But it’s not like the
movies – nothing changes in the present after his jumps, there’s no
space-time continuum issues or broken flux capacitors – it’s just
harmless fun.
That is… until the day strangers burst in on Jackson and his girlfriend, Holly, and during a struggle with Jackson, Holly is fatally shot. In his panic, Jackson jumps back two years to 2007, but this is not like his previous time jumps. Now he’s stuck in 2007 and can’t get back to the future.
Desperate to somehow return to 2009 to save Holly but unable to return to his rightful year, Jackson settles into 2007 and learns what he can about his abilities.
But it’s not long before the people who shot Holly in 2009 come looking for Jackson in the past, and these “Enemies of Time” will stop at nothing to recruit this powerful young time-traveler. Recruit… or kill him.
Piecing together the clues about his father, the Enemies of Time, and himself, Jackson must decide how far he’s willing to go to save Holly… and possibly the entire world. (via Goodreads)"

"I’d never even seen a picture and suddenly I wanted to know.
I closed my eyes and focused on a date much further than I’d ever traveled to.” (Page 122, Tempest)
What do you think? And what's your "current read"?

I also wanted to address a couple of “housekeeping” items in
this post. As I mentioned in a previous post, I’m still playing around with my
posts’ scheduling and contents. I haven’t quite nailed everything down yet, but
I wanted to let you know that starting next week I will try to post a book
review every Thursday (expect in certain
situations--like when I’m participating in a blog tour). I’m trying to keep
myself consistently reading all the books I have (or keep getting). Plus I’ve also entered two reading challenges for
2012: one being the Goodreads challenge I mentioned earlier (see tab in top
menu bar) and the other is the Debut Author Challenge hosted by The Story Siren.
Another change will be that each month books (and posts)
will have a common theme. The rest of this month’s theme will be “time travel” since the two
books I’ll be reviewing involve time traveling teens. I will also be participating
in a couple of blog tours over the next few months, hosting a few author
interviews, and having a possible giveaway later on this summer. I’ll give you
more details as the dates get closer.
As for the other posts on my blog, we’ll just have to play
it by ear and see what happens. I will continue to have my writing/reading
topics on Tuesday and I will most likely be adding another day of the week for
my crafting and writing exercise posts. And of course, I’ll still have the
special meme posts like “In My Mailbox” and “Teaser Tuesday” (as well as my own
“Tumblr Tuesday”), but those will be once a month or more sporadic.

Oooo.... what did he have to know??? I'm intrigued. I really need to finish this book... I got to about page 40 and then got sidetracked. :P Thanks so much for visiting my Teaser last week!
